Chateau Fort de Lourdes

The Lourdes Castle is a listed historic monument, and its Pyrenean Museum is a "Musée de France". Erected on a rocky outcrop, this great stone vessel, which has a defensive architecture of over 1000 years, houses a museum of art and popular traditions of the Pyrenees. It is a real piece of history.
Cirque de Gavarnie

The cirque de Gavarnie is a limestone amphitheatre of spectacular dimensions. 1500 metres high, this vertical wall has a circumference of 6.5 km. At its heart flows the Grande Cascade, source of the Gave de Pau, 423 m high, one of the highest waterfalls in Europe. the reputation of the cirque de gavarnie has been built by the various explorations it has generated. Botanists, scientists, poets, mountaineers in search of exploits or sensations have, since the 16th century, made Gavarnie the cradle of what is called Pyreneanism. The cirque is easily discovered, on foot or on horseback, by an easy 2 to 3 hour round trip starting from the villafe de Gavarnie .
Le Pic du Midi

To reach the summit of the Pic du Midi, simply let yourself be transported during a splendid ascent. All year round, summer and winter, go to La Mongie, the ski resort of the Domaine du Tourmalet. 1000 m of difference in height in 15 minutes in the cable car... just enough time to be awake before reaching the Pic at 2877 m of altitude.
La voie verte des Gaves
Situated at the foot of the summits and the great Pyrenean passes, this cycle path follows the Gave de Pau, and winds its way between the welcoming slopes of the mountains. The Voie verte des Gaves rolls out its carpet towards the summits, linking Lourdes to Pierrefitte-Nestalas over a distance of 17 km.

Located between Pau and lourdes. During a 1h20 guided tour, you will cross a mountain that has been dug by water over the centuries. A subterranean world, sublimated by the particularly careful lighting. The richness of the forms stimulates the imagination throughout the visit. After visiting the first floor of the Caves, you descend the 250 steps of the Gouffre which lead to the underground river. With 800 mothers of rock above you, you take a pleasant boat ride. The journey continues with the little train that takes you back to the exit.
